The Philadelphia Internet Exchange is a registered 501(c)(6) non-profit Internet Exchange Point, based within the Philadelphia, PA metro area. Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) serve as a focal point of bandwidth or network capacity. Participating entities interconnect or “peer” with one another to improve network performance, increase resiliency, and reduce operational costs.
We’re looking to work with the community to provide a place where networks can come together in Philadelphia. We believe this will improve the quality and availability of the internet in and around the Philadelphia metro area.
Like any member driven organization, PhillyIX can not exist without a supportive community. We appreciate all those who donate money, equipment, time, or even just positive words of support. #KeepTrafficLocal
